PAT KRUEGER
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY

Pat spent much of her youth drawing, painting and playing with clay, whatever she could get her hands on and have fun with.  In school she took every art course offered, and during her 11th and 12 grades of high school attended Saturday figure drawing classes at the Minneapolis School of Art.  She just couldn't get enough of it.

Upon graduation she set her sights on attending the art school for the next four years.  The school changed its name while she attended and she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design.  Pat's junior year in college was highlighted by studying at Atelier '72 in Haarlem, Holland in the Netherlands, and traveling throughout Europe that year, visiting art museums and seeing the European countryside.  In her work she uses acrylics, watercolors, graphite, colored pencil, pen and ink, pastels, sculpture, calligraphy and photography, enjoying exploration of art mediums of all kinds.

Pat has worked in the graphic arts field, spent several years as a sign painter, and taught art and calligraphy classes in the community setting.  In recent years her exploration focused on digital photography, computer art, and the wonderful world of the airbrush.  She attended several Airbrush Action Getaway workshops, working with the Master Illustrator Michael Cacy, and several other World Class Airbrush Artists.

Most of her work reflects investigation into detail realism.  Three and a half years ago Pat started entering art competitions and much to her surprise and amazement, but not her families, started having great success, receiving awards on local, statewide, national and international levels for her artwork.

In the last three and a half years of art exploration, Pat has made many wonderful discoveries through her artwork.  Some of the biggest bonuses that she has received are the new friendships she has gained throughout the world art community.  She is very grateful for all of them and thanks them for all of their encouragement!
