Connecticut Representation
16 in. wide x 20 in high
Watercolor and Pen and Ink
on Watercolor Paper
One of pieces of art done as part of
the Alphabeteer Artists -States project.
These three creatures
represent the state of
Connecticut in their
vast differences..... ....from
the flight of wings and
red breast of the American Robin....
....the unusual characteristics and
life style of the Praying Mantis.....
....to the huge proportions and
importance to the fisherman
of the region, of the Sperm Whale,
residing in the waters adjoining the land.
These
creatures so different in stature, yet all have one thing in common, the
people of Connecticut chose them to represent their state.
-
