8 in. wide x 9 1/2 in. high The reference photo for this painting was shot in the Caribbean. The look in his eye separated him from the rest of the flock and Pat was trying to do something a bit different....she wanted to capture his individuality and personality in a portrait. The result has been this feisty lone bird, lookin' back at ya! The painting of this flamingo was the first airbrushing work Pat had done. She spent the winter of 2001-2002 educating herself with all available information she could find about the airbrush, and taught herself how to use it as a painting tool in her work. Upon completion of this piece, Pat felt she understood the basics and was ready for more. This painting was only the beginning!
